C3: Care & Compassion for our Community

What To Expect

We’ve all been places where we felt like we were the only one who didn’t know what was going on. We don’t want you to feel like that so we’ve posted some commonly asked questions. Take a look and relax - you're with friends here!

How should I dress?

Come as you are! We care more about who you are than how you look. The dress ranges from casual to professional.

When should I arrive?

Worship begins at 10:00 a.m. in theater 1.  We suggest that you arrive ten to fifteen minutes before the service. This will allow you time to grab some coffee at Connections Café and sign-in your children (more on that below).

How long is the service?

Our services last about an hour and fifteen minutes.

What style of message does Pastor Bob deliver?

Pastor Bob’s messages are always creative and engaging. He makes the Bible easy to understand and apply to your life. Chances are good there will be video clips of movies, television shows, or other creative media. You definitely won’t fall asleep!

What will my children do during the service?

If you have kids, stop by the Kid's table in the lobby and sign them in to KiC Rock (Kids in Christ Rock). KiC Rock is for children kindergarten through 5th grade. The kids start with everyone in the theater and then are dismissed to KiC Rock after the opening worship where they get a message on the same topic as the adults, but designed just for them. They'll also sing some songs and even have some fun games or other activities!

Journey also offers Child Care for younger children. We promise they won’t be bored!

Will I be singled out as a guest?

We encourage all of our guests to sing and take part in the service. However, at no time will you be asked to say anything, wear a special nametag, or be singled out. We want you to be comfortable and enjoy your time with us, not stress out!

Will someone from the church contact me?

We offer you our NO HASSLE GUARANTEE! This means we will not contact you without invitation. We do ask our guests and attenders to fill out a welcome card each week so we can find out a little about the people we serve. If you would like someone on staff to contact you, you can indicate so on the welcome card.

What is the music like?

The music at Journey is very much like the music you will find on the radio. Plugged or unplugged, you're likely to find it at Journey.

What are the services like?

Our services vary in structure but you are likely to find the following elements: music, video, message, scripture, offering and a time of prayer.

Don't Forget to Stop by Guest Services

Before or after the worship, stop by Guest Services (located in the lobby) to say "hi," get more information about Journey and for a free gift. Helpful and knowledgeable people will be there to answer any questions you might have.

More Questions?

In the event we didn’t answer all of your questions, please feel free to contact us via email or by calling the church office at 616.530.1820.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
